Offshore Delivery Lead

TAQA has an Offshore Delivery Lead vacancy which will be primarily based offshore, however, some onshore work will be required.
This position is open to both staff and contractors. Internal contractors that apply and are successful will remain with their current contracting company.
Role Duration - 12 months
BASIC PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Reporting to both the asset-specific D&D Project Lead and the EPRD Project Lead, the Offshore Delivery Lead primary objective is the offshore delivery of all decommissioning related activities on then Cormorant Alpha. The role will provide the OIM with direct support when determining work prioritization in the run up to, and after, CoP. The role will be directly responsible for the allocation of resource with respect to the D&D and EPRD scopes, with the incumbent working closely with other platform leadership to resolve conflicting demands on critical resource and infrastructure.
During the define stage the role shall be responsible for the population and management of the Decommissioning Activity Register (DAR). Once the project moves into execute the role is responsible for the offshore co-ordination of the project plan, progressing Orbit work completion and sign off, fielding technical queries and liaising with all stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct Kick off meeting with stakeholders, vendors and job owners clearly communicating the D&D phases – Define, Plan, Prepare & Execute and key dates and milestones.
- Responsible for liaising with all Job Owners, Stakeholders Departments & Functions to collate work for execution during D&D
- Accountable for ensuring the agreed scopes are populated in the Decommissioning Activity Register (DAR) and this accurately reflects the “state of readiness” of the scopes to the point of execution
- Work closely with the Project and IA Planners holding regular plan review sessions with both On and Offshore representatives to ensure scheduling efficiency and adequate resources for safe execution.
- Chair DAR review meetings for each phase of the project
- Ownership of the Risk & Opportunity Register & Action Decision Log, as part of the DAR build.
- Chair regular progress meetings ensuring correct priorities are being worked during offshore execution.
- Accountable for the generation and issuing of regular D&D status reports.
- Attend the daily meeting with the OIM and offshore management team.
- Prioritisation of PoB conflicts – with the authorisation of the OIM, ensure the PoB is optimised to enable project delivery, with correct prioritisation of critical activities.
- Allocation of constrained infrastructure - ensure that constrained plant and deck space is optimally allocated to ensure critical workscopes can be progressed at the expense of those of lesser priority.
- Responsible for collating Lessons Learned into a suitable repository & participate in the Lessons Learned Review (LLR) session with key stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING
Essential
- Higher National Certificate (HNC) in a relevant disciple
- Current Offshore Medical and Survival Certificate
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.
- Certification or experience of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) – Maximo
- Chartered Engineer status with an appropriate engineering council registered body
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Essential
- Previous experience as a Shutdown / TAR Coordinator / Offshore Project delivery role in Oil & Gas
- Excellent communication skills both with internal and external clients across disciplines
- A good working knowledge of common office applications such as Excel, Word, & Power Point
- Working knowledge of detailed activity planning
- A proven record in project delivery
Preferred
- Knowledge of the Cormorant Alpha platform, or similar GBS installation(s), and its process.
- Management of project scope execution offshore coordinating multi-discipline teams
- Microsoft Office experience
- Orbit and Bluebeam experience.
